Me and the Kiddos

I obviously have a few.....thousand?....pictures of the little ones.  I try to take pictures of them all of the time.  What I don't have, which I've mentioned before, is all that many pictures of me with the kids.  When you're the one behind the camera, it's hard to get many of you actually with them.  But people do it.  Real photographers do it.  So I'm going to try this year to get creative and do it too.

Some people suggest using a tripod (which I've recently been using), some people teach their hubbies how to really take a picture (*on our way*) and others find creative ways (reflections, mirrors, reaching their arm around) to capture themselves in the pic.

Some of these pictures are my attempt at snapping myself in the pic.  They are all over the place and hilarious.  Mostly out of focus, poor lighting, off centered, etc.  but probably a realistic snapshot into our lives!  These are a couple weeks old now, so little H is even bigger today than in these pics!

Just throwing in a couple of A from the same day.  A little better quality for ya.

We do a lot of dresses these days (easier for running to the potty) but sometimes we just go shirt, panties and leg warmers.  If anyone can pull it off, it's Avery, right?

Now my attempt at a picture with Holden.  See, I start off all business.

It really makes me laugh though.  I'm sort of loving this pic!


Holding a 3 month old while balancing a camera might not be the smartest idea I have had. :)

But there ya go.  Perfect little smile that guy has.
