Baptism Weekend - Day 2 - the Ceremony

Wow, I have a lot of pics to get through!  These could be some long posts with a lot of pictures, so I thought I would try and break it up a bit.

Saturday morning - the big ceremony for Jax and Holden.

Avery all dressed up and ready for her brother to become Catholic!

Excited to show off her "pretty nails"

She loves wearing mommy and daddy's shoes.  Please note, these are not mine :)

The little guy all jazzed up for the big event!!

He hated the hat.
And we were off to Immaculate Conception Church, just blocks from our house.  We were lucky enough to have Fr. Mark perform the baptism.  Fr. Mark is both Uncle Josh's mentor and close with Papa Marcy, having worked together for years.

I love this picture.  Avery staring at Kelly!

And this one really captures what it was like.  Fr. Mark performing the baptism in front of our circle of family and friends and Avery trying to steal the show.  She loved running around that circle.  Oh, I wish I had it on video.

The stars of the show - Holden and Jax

Jax's big moment

And then Holden's

What I love about this picture - look over my right shoulder.  Who of course makes an appearance?  Elmo.

With the Godfathers - Jeremy and Josh

We tried.

Poor Fr. Mark.  We tried on this one too.

Best part of this picture.....my brothers, who for the record are not 6'4''.   They were standing on the step above us.  Sneaks.

It was a great ceremony.  Very private and personal.  We just had our family and very closest friends there and it was perfect.

More to come - reception pics!!

PS - extra thanks to Melissa for taking control of my camera and giving me some great pictures at the church!!
