Eric's second Father's Day.
You know how some people were just meant to be parents? Well that's Eric. He was made to be a daddy. Every day of his life brought him to the place he is today - an incredible father. He was born with "daddy" in his blood and it just comes so naturally. It's breathtaking to watch and makes me fall in love with him more every day.
While I know he will be an amazing father to our little boy on the way, I think he will be a little bit of a different type of daddy to him than he is to Avery. Everyone always speaks of the cliche of father daughter love.....and while I don't know if that daddy / little girl bond it quite what I know it will be when she's a little bit older....you know, when she despises me and will only turn to daddy? Yep, we're not quite there yet. But their love for each other is quite evident to anyone who gets a chance to witness. For growing up with his mom as his main female influence and no sisters, he sure has a soft spot for his little girl. They're really quite the perfect pair.
When the little guy enters the mix, I think I will see even more sides of Eric as a father. And I can't wait.

Avery couldn't wait to give Eric his gift so had to run back and give it to him.

Even though he was in the shower.

After we opened gifts we had brunch at a local restaurant. Low key and perfect. Just the three of us.

Avery doesn't yet know how lucky she is to have such a perfect daddy. I can't wait until the day she figures it out.
Thank you for being an amazing father to our little girl.
