Marcy Snowflake

Thanksgiving felt early this year and I was really thinking there would be more time before Christmas this year.  And technically, yes, there are probably a couple days more than normal, but Christmas is surely sneaking around the corner.  The chaos of December has ensued and I'm just trying to enjoy the moments here and there, because as we know, January will be knocking at the door within seconds.

And Christmas around here is becoming quite a thing.  Holden is still catching on of course, but Avery is full blown loving Christmas.  She loves Christmas music, loves all Christmas movies and pretty much loves anything Christmas-related.  And I'm loving that.

Christmas is a special time, and with little kids around the home, I know it's even more special.

We kicked off Christmas season this year a couple of weeks ago with the seasonal arrival of our Elf on the Shelf - Marcy.  You may remember, she first found us last Christmas season.  Her name was quickly revised this year, as a four-year old would like, and we now lovingly call her "Marcy Snowflake".

She hosted a little North Pole breakfast for the kiddos right after Thanksgiving and kicked us off quite properly.  Avery was surprised and excited and Holden just wanted to eat.  Typical.

Holdie's elf friend is aptly named "buddy".  This one he can touch.

Avery's was originally named "Ava" and after a few days changed her mind and now she is also called "Marcy Snowflake"

A little hot cocoa to finish things off!
