sigh.
The official birthday party is in a couple weeks, but we of course celebrated with a little to do, just family and cake and gifts.
We started the morning with a nice little surprise. A little commotion from Holden's video monitor....
It's a little tough to make out, but there are two little people in there. Avery decided to go into Holden's crib to wish him a Happy Birthday. It was actually quite hilarious to hear them playing together and goofing off. And inevitably it ends with...
hair pulling. Holden's best and pretty much only defense. (btw, it's not easy to climb into that crib. not quite sure how she does it).
So Eric and I then ventured in so they could get out of Holden's crib and enjoy his birthday balloons.
I have no idea how none of the balloons popped. No idea. This was typical....

| by the way, Holdie normally wears pajama pants to bed (seen above in a pile) but he pulled them off for some reason. showing off I suppose. |
Fast forward - birthday dinner time.
Dinner was all of Holden's favorites - mac & cheese, broccoli, pineapple and cheesesticks.
Miss Bossy Pants decided she wanted to open ALL of Holden's presents. Not sure she would be so receptive on the flip side.
And we ended where we started. Back to the balloons. Not sure who was more into it, my kids or the big kids....

| when your kid lays on the ground amidst total chaos and yelling, I think it's a good sign he's done. |
And he's two. So there ya go.
His 2-year pics on their way. The last of our "monthly" photo shoots.
