Holden has come such a long way in the eating department! As I've discussed before, his reflux was such an issue but he is a million times better than he used to be. He is still on his reflux meds (I'm nervous to ever take him off!), takes his bottles like a champ and now has mastered solids! We didn't start off so strong in the solids department, and then his massive virus a few weeks back derailed solids for a bit, but now he is back. And better than ever.
He loves his apples, pears, mangos, peaches, squash, peas, carrots and sweet potatoes. I need to try bananas again, because he hated them a few weeks back, but that just doesn't seem right. What kid doesn't like bananas?
We have to be very careful when we try new foods because of his mspi (milk soy protein intolerance) combined with his reflux. A lot babies with this combo have reflux flares when they start solids, or with certain foods, and just have more sensitive digestive systems in general. And some solids are known to cause more issues than others.
Anywho - Holden has been doing great recently and loves loves loves to eat. You literally can't keep up with him, and he lets you know it! And he's sleeping even better - he's on the old Avery schedule. We ALL couldn't be happier.
and now, let's just hope I haven't jinxed everything with this silly post.
