Avery's Lip and more

So as I mentioned from our weekend in Detroit, Avery went out with a bang.  We were packing up and getting ready to go following the reception.  She was playing around with Uncle Josh and was crawling around with some toys and BAM, fell on her face.

Immediately started crying / screaming.

I ran over and picked her up and she opened her mouth and blood came gushing.  So I, in my parent-of-the-year way, yelled "oh sh*t"!

I know.  Exactly what you're not supposed to do.

But I sort of freaked because I thought she might have lost a tooth.  There was so much blood and stuff, she was crying so hard, I couldn't tell what was going on.

Eventually we figured her teeth were ok and she had cut the inside of her top lip pretty badly with her bottom teeth.  It was ugly and started swelling immediately.  But luckily no emergency room visit necessary.

So our girl looked like she took one in the face.  She's tough.



On our way home in the car, I didn't have my camera out but I snapped a pic with my cell.  You can kind of see the lip situation.

By the next day it was remarkably better.  These pictures don't show it too well, her lip was still really swollen.  But a few days later it was back to perfect.

It took Avery pretty much all of the last week to recover from the trip though.  Her lip aside, she was fighting a runny nose/cold thing all week too.  Finally appears to be almost back to normal.

But guess who isn't.......

The little guy.

Had a little bit of a runny nose, but really nothing to note.  Then Saturday his appetite decreased materially and he seemed to be off.  Come Sunday the major diarrhea started (sorry to be graphic).  And it hasn't stopped.  We're on a pedialyte diet as we speak and I'm just really hoping his diarrhea gets under control.  Poor guy is still smiling, but seems so sad.  You can just tell he feels like poop (no pun intended).

So fingers crossed H gets this out of his system asap.
