A little facepaint

Last weekend we took the kids and headed to the big bad city (our old stomping grounds, sniff sniff) to check out Eric's office.  They were hosting a family open house for everyone to check out their new digs.  Ah, I miss the Loop....it was nice being down there....and the kids loved it.

In the building, Holden loved running around with all of the glass walls/windows looking down in the city.  Avery loved it too and got to experience her first facepainting and balloon animal.  Holdie was too young for both - and thank goodness because I can't imagine him sitting still for more than 3 seconds.

Oh, and the ice cream and cookies didn't hurt.

I didn't take my camera to the actual event, but snagged a couple of Avery when we got home.
