Snow Days!

Everyone here in the Midwest experienced their first snow of the season this past weekend and it was like Avery's first!  She doesn't remember snow from last winter so she was enthralled with the "pretty snow".   It came down hard and it came down wet, and despite her fashionable snow boots not arriving yet due to being backordered, she got her chance to play in the snow.

Getting ready to go.  Bundle up!

Looking perplexed but still very excited, I swear.
Due to little bro needing a bit of attention these days, I had to stay back at the homebase and make sure he was fed, burped, etc.  How long until he can stay home alone.......what, only 12 or 13 years....let the countdown begin!!  :)

So Aves and daddy trudged out in the snow and made a little snowman.  A stranger was nice enough to take a pic with Eric's phone.  Not ideal, but at least we captured the moment!

Avery's snowman was a little bare.  Eric was a little under-prepared in the "accessory" department.  But it's not about the glitter right?  We're all about quality.  Sometimes simple is best.

The Christmas decorations have been up, there's snow on the ground and the holidays really are right around the corner.  Our mantle had a new addition this year....and a couple subtractions (sorry, boys).

I love kids pj's and especially Christmas ones!  I just think they are the cutest.  How comfy/hilarious do these look?

And I found this picture in a kids clothing magazine.  This is incredible right?  I pretended to be serious and told Eric that I was getting all of us these pj's to wear to bed Christmas and we had to get a picture Christmas morning.  Even the dogs (how perfect, right?).  Eric almost passed out.  It would have been amazing though....what I would do to get Eric in those pajamas....

Hope you're getting ready for Santa!!
