The 4th

Yep -these are old! Just getting around to posting our 4th of July pics. Still worthwhile I think. :)

We "burbed" it up for the 4th. Big time. Avery didn't know what she was in for.

First major suburban moment - watching the 4th of July parade. Thank you Makayla and Aidyn for showing Avery how it is done!

And then the parade really got going....

This Dora was so creepy. For those who are familiar with Dora, you know, this does not look like her at all! I was worried she would freak Avery out.

The guy driving was cleary ecstatic to be in the parade.

Waving for candy. And it worked, the kids really pulled in some loot. It was like Halloween....but hot as heck.

There were a million beauty queens. I covered Avery's eyes whenever they drove by. Big time "Toddlers and Tiaras".

Typical over-heating plus daddy's application of sunscreen makes for a perfect picture.

These dads were loving life. Hilarious.

And Dora was back!

Cooling off and enjoying her first Flavor Ice!

After the parade, the kiddos all hung out and enjoyed the sprinkler, slip n slide and baby pool.

Avery was a huge fan of the pool. Did not want to get out.

First experience with a sprinkler. I thought it might scare her. Not so much. She just stood there letting the water spray her in the face.

Afer the kids were all fed, the played a bit more before we ventured back into the city. I have to say, Avery loved her suburbastic 4th of July.
