So it was Holdie's turn. And I think that he forgot what this "me taking a bunch of pictures" thing is all about because he really wasn't into sitting around and cooperating. Man, I missed my immobile little guy for a few mins there.
So let's just say I got a workout, Holdie got annoyed and in the end I got a handful of pics. I guess I shouldn't have expected much else.
My 2.5 year old Holden. A flame of energy this guy is. When people use the cliche "boys will be boys", despite growing up with four brothers, I now really know what this means. Little boys are just so different than little girls. And yes, there's much related to each unique personality, but I do believe there are just boy things and then there are girl things. And Holden, well he's all about the boy things. His personality is still very laid back, yet on the physical side he just doesn't stop moving. EVER. He's obsessed with all things vehicle-related. Cars, trucks, vans, planes, helicopters, ambulances, school buses, mailman trucks, police cars, firetrucks, boats, cement mixers and maybe his favorite at the moment - excavators.
He has gotten more into tv and movies, which is nice when we need a little break and something to keep him occupied. He loves the movies Cars and Cars 2 of course. Shows like Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Diego, etc. He also has clear big sis influence and can sit and watch princesses too. He likes to play with castles and doll houses, baby dolls and baby doll strollers, and in the next breath is throwing a football, pulling a line of trains around the house and zooming a car across your body as you are the racetrack. Then the other morning I heard him yell "I love Merida!"
He's still my snuggle bug. Loves hugs and kisses. Makes me laugh over and over. Loves to dance. Loves to "read". Loves iPhones and iPads (ugh).
He's never had all that many tantrums, but definitely has his opinion on things and will let them be heard. He has timeouts here and there. Oh and he's a total mooch when it comes to food. Wants everything on his plate, but even more wants everything on my plate. He's totally ridiculous and often eats his meal and mine. We always make sure there's basically enough food for him to get two meals. Then he has days where he barely seems to eat anything. I guess that's the up and down life of a two-year old.
So that's my guy, perfect little combo of sweet and spaz. Love him to pieces.
Want to check out Holden's last "monthly bday" pic? That was at two-years old - right here.
