We are losing a member. Off to Denver.
So, while I believe change should often be embraced and faced with great enthusiasm, we are selfishly saddened by what I feel is such a loss.
As friends become sisters over the years, bonds become unbreakable. In today's age, emails and texts maintain relationships in odd ways but make it possible to have a regular presence in someone's life, despite geographical distance. And we know she will come back to us.
So the only thing we knew was to send her off Chicago-style. Simple. Chicago. The 5.
Oh we'll miss you Melissa, but Denver will be an amazing chapter in your life. A time you will look back on so fondly. A time of growth and great and happy and joy.
I can't wait for you to look back on all of these Denver memories with a smile. And in the comfort of your Chicago home. :)
