Halloween

Avery's first Halloween really trick or treating and Holden's first Halloween period - just 5 days old!

First - pumpkin carving time (this was actually planned for earlier in the week, but little brother decided to mess up those plans but coming a wee bit early).

 And then on to the real deal - trick or treating.

Avery was a little hesitant at first and wasn't quite sure to think of the whole thing.  But after that first grab of candy, she seemed to catch on remarkably well.  Was so excited.  We never got out a full "trick or treat" but she definitely got the hang of saying "Treat!" and would even throw in a "dank you" after that fact.

Holden was a lion.  He's under there!  All snuggled in a sling, he was pretty cozy.  He only woke up once to spit up on me!

Halloween is truly the greatest kids' holiday....well after Christmas.  It totally brought me back to see the experience through Avery's eyes, now I remember why we got so excited.

Oh and added bonus....we got to eat the candy!!
