The Pumpkin Patch

We had one of those great days at the pumpkin patch last week.  It was a perfect family outing and one I think we will all cherish as one of the last great times when Avery was still an only child.

It was also an extra bonus that it was mid-week  - traffic wasn't bad getting to the burbs and it wasn't crowded at all!  We had a blast and picked up a couple pumpkins to carve for Halloween.  And of course, purchased some cider and donuts.  Yum.

A bunch of pics from our day....

Dora - one of her faves. She loved pointing out Dora and all of her friends (Diego...Boots...Tico...)

And quickly started sprinting once she saw her beloved Elmo and other Sesame Street characters.

Loved this pillow jump thing. Was a bit on the young side, as older kids were bouncing by her, but still had a blast.

Her first pony ride. Loved it. Couldn't stop smiling.

The animals were pretty impressive actually.  Sad to see them all in cages, but Avery loved seeing all of the different types of animals.  Here are some of them...

And finally on to see and feed the giraffes.  Another highlight of the day.  If you've never seen a giraffe's tongue, prepare to be grossed out!

This pic kind of makes me sick.  The good thing - Avery loved it.  Just don't mind me gagging in the background.

Trying to get to the baby giraffe.  The mommy/daddy giraffe wasn't quite into sharing with the lil guy.

Just a great day at the pumpkin patch.  Can't ask for much more.

Trying to put together a little video as well.  Hope to post that tomorrow!
